I'd like to know what is a responsible amount of insurance to get for a healthy teenage bochur learning in a different country (not Isreal ) and where do you get it from?
What happens if an emergency happens that exceeds your insurance amount but you are on medicaid insurance back home?

Speak to local insurance agents for pricing and coverage. Unfortunately, if you are on medicaid and insurance doesn't cover it will be an out of pocket expense. Medicaid does not cover anything outside of your home state. You can also ask a travel agent for info. There are credit cards that cover emergency medical expenses if the ticket was purchased completely on the cc, but you would have to read the fine print about limitations.
