My sister once had to go to a surgeon named Dr. Slaughter. Too bad he never became a shochet.

I just saw a documentary about a famous psychiatrist named Dr. Dement. I suppose you could say that his patients were "dement-ed".

I've heard of a urologist whose name is Dr Seaman. He actually chose the name himself when he anglicized his very foreign surname, I dont remember what it originally was. But this was an unfortunate choice, on paper it looks ok, but sounds off when you say it

Smile The chief of cardiology at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal is Dr. David Langleben.
I wonder if their chosen career path was influenced by their surname!
