I'm sorry for going anonymous. I've asked almost my entire country for ideas 
11 year old is not into reading. He likes to build and on the creative level he is so so . I was thinking of buying him a set from lego so he can build something but I know if there is a time piece missing he won't want to continue doing it
9 year old loves to read and he is very creative but if I buy him a book it will last a week and then he won't touch it (he doesn't like rereading books)
Please help a mom out to buy something they'll appreciate!!!

My 8 year old wants kinex and an erector set for his birthday which is after Chanukah. Also a whole bunch of books.

If youre willing to spend a bit, buy your 9 year old a subscription to a childrens magazine.
I highly recommend The Circle. Frum magazine, comes weekly, full of content and very beautifully done.
According to their website theyre having aa chanukah special now

What if instead of getting a Lego set... Get a bucket of Legos see what the kid can come up with themselves? Not following a pattern.
Also, I second the kid magazine subscription for a kid who won't reread
