I’m out of books to read- I enjoy classics and prefer books written in the 90s or earlier. No jewish novels (don’t want to insult any authors but I really don’t enjoy them). And it needs to be clean- free of s-x and coarse language. Also no horror stories. Any ideas?

Thanks to Sequoia I'm reading The Blue Castle by L. M. Montgomery.

If you want clean, try the Mossy Creek series. Or Tom Bodett's books. Donna Andrews is fun. (Though you have to have the "Get Smart" mentality: It's going to be a light sitcom that starts with a murder. Confused )

Do you like non-fiction? There's a lot of interesting stuff out there. A. J. Jacobs. Moonwalking with Einstein (crude beginning but IIRC that's it), Fannie's Last Summer...so many books, don't know where to begin.

Tell us more. Is the writing engaging? Do you usually like bios?

I’m honestly not very interested in biographies unless it’s someone I’m already intrigued by. I’m about 30% of the way through and so far it’s a detailed look at her childhood in poverty and handling her father’s MS. Very inspiring. I love that she started out as a corporate lawyer and was so unfulfilled she took a 50% pay cut to work at city hall shock
