Put out the word and someone will come. Starting witonly a few is good too!

we do it. one lady started the project many years ago, we perform about 1-2-times every year, meet for shalos seudes or melave malkes or rosh chodes...rehearse, sing for fun or for ean event.
it is SO emotionally nourishing, a real therapy  and FUN!!!
we are women from many different backgrounds and sing different types of jewish music.

Someone just moved into our community and within a couple of weeks started organizing a monthly Rosh Chodesh singing event for women in her home. I've never been there, but apparently there's a big turnout. If you get the word out, you may be surprised as to how many people show up.

Wow, I'm surprised at how many people are saying to just do it. I would love to, but I live in a small basement apartment and really don't have space.
I think this is a project to think about it a couple of months. Things have been really, really hectic lately. But it's a good thing to keep in mind.
Just out of curiosity, if anyone would be interested in joining such a group in Flatbush, please pm me!

In my wonderful former neighborhood of Sanhedria Murchevet the (anglo) Nshei arranged a kumzitz at a girls' school building motzei shabbos. There was an inspirational speaker, a salad bar, etc.
It was really beautiful and so fun to sing together!
I wouldn't be surprised if they made it an annual Nshei activity.

We do a Rosh Chodesh group. Call friends and neighbors for a short get-together. Sing Hallel together and bring up the idea, to have a singing group every Rosh Chodesh!!
