I’m considering starting a small business to provide coaching for people who want to explore and document their own life stories. It would be somewhat of a cross between life coaching and writing coaching.

I’ve previously published several books and my educational background is in psychology/counseling.

Would I need any additional credentials or expertience in order to be taken seriously in this line of work? How would I go about setting prices? All advice welcome. Thanks!

No advice here, just want to say that if I saw your books and liked them I'd want to sign up Smile

would you consider a range of services from coaching to ghost writing?

That's a very intresting idea!
I can see a great need for this in the geriatric population.

I don't think you need more training. You have a background in psychology and you were already published. Perhaps the opposite is true. Doing this will give you more experience in your niche.

Dive right in!

Fees always depend on how much the service is needed and how much you need to make in order for you to feel paid.

Being that as of yet you don't know how much this service is needed, I would say go with what people are ready to pay for it.
You have time to scale your prices once you know more.

Good luck!
