My office is having a Chanukah party tomorrow. I was suppose to bring in some sort of food item but I was away because my daughter in law had a boy and we went to them for the shalom Zachor and I just don't have time to bake something.
Someone is bringing latkes and donuts what could I buy to bring that is good for an office party. I never was in a work environment like this where we had office parties.
TIA

It depends on the office. It's nice when someone brings a "healthy" option like chopped vegetables and a dip or a fruit plate. Given that it's chanukah, good gelt is always a nice treat. In a pinch when I don't have time to bake but want to say I did, I'll buy a box of duncan hines and swirl peanut butter or marshmallow fluff into the batter. I also keep cans of coconut milk and parve chocolate chips in the pantry along with crumb crusts (oreo, graham, whatever) and just make stovetop parve chocolate pie. Takes tops 10 minutes to make and clean but it's "homemade"

I love a good salad and I think most people prefer it over anything too fat.

I agree that the food that always goes at an office party is the salad .

Whatever is easiest for you to make or buy. Is that a tray of brownies, cookies, a salad, cut up fruit, platter of spreads and crackers?

I would bring either a big salad, fruit platter, or veggie platter. In the tristate area most groceries have these pretty easily accessible
