Some comments on the twitter post say that it was a fake rumor. I don't see anyone else posting about the baby. I really really really really hope it's not true, so devastating.

if anything I read that the baby was doing a bit better but dont trust my sources. They are as reliable as twitter.

There was a rumor going around yesterday on social media that also made it into the news media where it was refuted by a statement from the family.
They asked the public to keep davening for rach nolad ben Shira Yael.

ETA - Just saw that the hospital updated this morning with an improvement in Shira's condition but the baby is still critical.

So wait - someone MADE UP that the baby...???

I read it and was so physically sick from it, I'm already not well since my grandmother has passed and this I couldn't handle. WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO THAT.

BH I will go on davening. I went to shul especially to daven and then when I read that I started doubting that what I did helped. Urgh. WHY

I doubt anyone did it maliciously. Usually it is the result of some sort of misunderstanding. Like a broken telephone effect. There are so many people following the story and waiting for updates etc. that sometimes information gets confused and then it goes viral.
