My baby has a cold and slight cough. I want to get a humidifier for his room to help with the congestion. Which one should I get- cold or warm air? In general, his room is warm.

Definitely cool mist. I my experience the warm mist makes my kids cough worse & they feel suffocated by the warm air.

Cold mist.
I don't even know The science behind it but I see clearly that when my kids have a cough on nights that humidifier is on they don't cough and on nights that it's not they do cough in middle of the night!
It's literally magic

Will it also help with congestion? His cold is worse than his cough.

Cool air is supposed to help clear congestion.
