Dh was looking up something online and inappropriate pictures came up. He thinks he saw a woman's private part and now is nervous about kares. I told him he's being ridiculous but he is scared that because he looked for a second on purpose even though he knew it would be inappropriate, because he was curious what was on the screen, that it's punishable by kares. Anyone know the halachic situation behind this?

I don't think imamother is the place for this question- he should speak to his rav if he is concerned.

It is very very difficult to “accidentally” see those images online.
He probably browsed some risqué sites and is now feeling guilty, and wants you to forgive him and help him absolve himself.

Tell him to talk to his LOR for help with teshuva and to implement a safeguard from the future, but it’s not your place to get involved in his “sins”

This is not an appropriate question to post, we cant help him. If he's worried he should speak to his Rav, he doenst need a bunch of womens opinions.

Being mistakel means purposeful gazing, not accidentally seeing a split second.
