If you took your child for a sleep study, can you please share where you went and what your experience was like? Recommend or not, and why? And do they take insurance for this?

We did it at Maimonides sleep clinic on 65th street years ago. Dd was a toddler and wouldn't go to sleep. Insurance covered it.

Did they help you get to the bottom of the sleep issues?

We couldn't complete the study. Went home in middle of the night.

One kid was in Maimonides sleep center- it was a few years ago, there was a bathroom/shower in the room, the dvd/tv didn't work, the kid was attached with wires so every time he needed the bathroom he needed to be unhooked. Recently another kid had it done in NYU, felt like a mini hotel, bathroom didn't have a shower but they had one down the hall, there was a parent room with access to a fridge, most important the wires and the device they where attached to where movable so it definitely helped with bathroom visits. Insurance covered it. Maimonides took forever to submit the report, NYU did it within 72 hours iirc. Did it solve our sleep issues- no but it helped lead us in the right directions.
