hi,
I need some help / ideas getting my tichel to stay on for gymnastics.
I tried the non slip headband, didn't work ( and yes it was on correctly)
I don't have access to a snood.
I need something that will seriously STAY on when I'm doing flips, handstands etc.
it's really distracting to worry about my head covering?
and ideas?

What are you wearing to do all this stuff? I can't imagine anything else is covered. Why worry about your hair?

My DD does gymnastics....I can't really think of a headcovering that would survive a back handspring, TTYTT.

This was my first thought. Definitely not the most attractive but should stay put.

A good swim cap with a prettied with the nonslip strip on top to look normal.

You're not being dan lkaf zchut. I was seriously asking why a head covering is important in this situation.
But you obviously are extremely sensitive on this topic so I'll just bow out and wish you the best of luck.

OP have you tried wearing a pretied bandana thats the cottony stretchy t-shirt like material?
I wear that when I do vigorous jumping excercises, as well as doing upside down positions in yoga and it doesnt budge. (And bobbypins would probably make it even more secure)

Look on the cancer websites. I have a cap that stays on when sleeping. It looks something like a swim cap made with normal material with lace edges.

Any kind of tighter cap should work. Do you have enough hair to braid? I find that if I french braid my hair it stays in place better, so when I pin on a cap/tichel/whatever it's also more likely to stay in place.

My one concern with swim caps is that they don't breathe well so you may be uncomfortable if you sweat.

I do the same! I wear type with a built in velvet headband and also use bobby pins.

How about sewing into a pretied a shaitel clip or two to clip from front and sides? Braid a piece of front hair and some on sides so clips will stay put.
