Hi all! We are making a dessert buffet for my twins' bas mitzvah next week. Need ideas for easy stuff that looks nice... Smile

Peanut chews- cover it with a transfer sheet. It looks pretty.

Everything looks fancier if it's made individually. Apple pie, delicious... individual mini apple pies, fancy.
You get the idea. Of course it requires more work, so you have to decide where the pay off is.

I like making mini parfaits in clear 2oz plastic cups. (First layer, no cook brownie, second, strawberry coulis, third layer crushed Graham crackers, top with pipe whipped cream).

Mousse in little cups,
cut brownies, lemon squares etc on an angle
cupcakes with a pretty swirl of frosting, maybe top with edible pearls.

Use a heart cookie cutter on brownie tray to make individuals.
Marshmellow/strewb/brownie skewers
Mini tri colored jellos
Mini meringue.

Mini cheese babkas , made in muffin tins. Page 214 in the Bais Yaakov cookbook

Layered Turtle Cheesecake also made in muffin tins . Page 212 in the Bais Yaakov cookbook

Cut up fruit in skewers done in patterns. Example: pineapple chunk, purple grape , watermelon chunk, green grape, cantaloupe chunk , purple grape etc.

Mini trifle bowls . Example chunks of lemon cake, blueberry pie filling, another layer of lemon cake, vanilla custard mixed with whip, garnished with three blueberries on top.

You can do the same with cherry pie filling etc.
