Prepare them for him?
Take him to dietician?
For me dietician was amazing. DH loat 30 lbs but besides for that learned a much healthier lifestyle.
He went 3 years ago and while he has gaine back some of the weight and eats cake he will pack in his lunch:
Whole wheat crackers
Oat pretzels
Chummus
English cucumber
Baby carrots
Lite popcorn
He also made the switch to only whole wheat.
She also gave him some core and strengthening excersize that were quick and doable at home
It was a matter of education and being accountable to someone else.

You can have them available but what he eats is his page not your page.

Not all processed foods are unhealthy so you would need to define what "healthy" is.
A person needs to want to change their eating habits - best way to help someone change is make the food available and try to get foods that he likes in healthier forms
Does he like crunchy - whole wheat breads and crackers with hummus or nut butter are healthy
Does he like sweet - cut up good fruit - fruit with yogurt

Yup. Other ways of encouraging someone else to eat healthy snacks are good if you want them all for yourself.

He's an adult that needs to make his own choices. If he chooses to eat healthy, then just have the healthy foods available at home. If he doesn't want to eat healthy no amount of encouragement and coaxing will help. Let him be the boss over his own body and how he wants to take care of it.

My husband goes to the store and stocks up if I don't buy him snacks. I provide him with the least bad thing I can get away with that won't cause him to run out and shop. I try to get something my kids won't eat.
If DH was the SAM, we wouldn't have meals - oy.
