Could one of you advise where to obtain besomim or how to prepare it so the smell for Havdolo is more intense?
TIA

Buy cloves from the spice section of any supermaket. Change them out every 6 months with fresh

Save your haddasim, when they are dry remove the leaves. Get ground cloves and cinnamon. Put some leaves and the spices in a small jar. Crush the leaves to release the aroma. Shake to mix.
Add any sweet smelling spice you like.
Add more occasionally. Add a cinnamon stick and whole cloves to make it look pretty.
I find a jar with a cork or lid retains the smell better. Those besomim boxes are cute, but the smell weakens to quickly.

Google pomander. I made one, pricking the fruit, rolling in anise root and something else I don't remember, and studding it with cloves. We keep it in a pretty covered glass dish and add hadasim, cloves, etc. as needed.
