Don’t know which US states I visited. When I was looking at colleges it was all up and down the east coast, but it was pretty much a blur. I hardly remember anything.

Countries: Canada, Ukraine, Israel, UK, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia, Greece, Spain, Austria, Italy, Russia, Egypt

My parents and grandparents are avid travellers. I've been to most countries in Europe, many US States, Canada, some in Asia, a few countries in Central and South America and some of the most unique destinations would be South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, Seychelles, Kenya, Dubai, Marshall Islands, Cuba, Egypt. Interestingly enough I took my first trip to Israel as an adult alone. I'd answer any questions you have about those places and more. I'd really like to go to the Amazon and to India among other places.

No, I started traveling long before there were blogs. There wasn't even IG or FB (and I'm still not on either) - the horror! Smile

Part of the fun of coming home and developing my film (!) was that I could then make a beautiful album for every trip. I'm still old-fashioned and though I've since upgraded my camera quite a bit, I still continue to enjoy making albums that I can go through with kids on Shabbosim, though I sometimes do a photo collage book instead.

Oooh this thread makes me want to travel! Meanwhile I'm stuck in my office...

Curious, do you all travel with young kids? Or was this before you had kids/once they got bigger?

I've been to:

- US: Florida, NYC, California, Arizona, Utah, Las Vegas
- Israel - many times, although I still didn't see everything
- Europe: Spain, Gibraltar, France, Italy, Greece, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary (mainly Budapest), Czech Republic, Croatia, Sweden, England, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Poland
- Morocco (Tangiers, Marrakesh, Casablanca)

On my list of countries I'd love to see:
- Iceland
- New Zealand
- Indonesia
- Japan
- South Africa
- Tanzania

I'm planning to go to Eilat (any recommendations of diving places?) and make a day trip to Petra, I wonder if that's safe. Anyone been to Petra?

Wow. Some of you have been to so many places. It doesn’t even seem possible. Unless you travel a few times a year?

My vacations tend to be pretty local for max 2-3 days. Or Florida for 3-4 days.

States:
NY
New Hampshire
Vermont
Massachusetts
Rhode Island
Connecticut
Pennsylvania
New Jersey
Maryland
Delaware
Virginia
West Virginia
Georgia
Florida
Michigan
Illinois
Arizona
Nevada
Washington DC

Most of these states (the ones on the east coast) I’ve been so many times that I can’t count.

I’ve also been to Israel twice
Canada twice- once Niagara Falls and once Montreal

And that’s it.

I would love to start traveling more to interesting places.

Why doesn't it seem possible? They may do tours, or cruises, or travel a lot on short times.

OP here: So many of you have traveled to so many places. I'm seriously jealous. As you can tell, I've been in local areas mostly, some with kids and some with leaving them behind. As is, we travel more than most people in my circles. I didn't travel at all as a kid except one trip to Niagara.

I love to take my kids to new places, broaden their minds and increase their interests. BUT IT'S SO HARD TO TRAVEL WITH KIDS!!! It's more expensive too. I'd love to easily afford taking off from work and traveling with kids so that at least the finances wouldn't be an issue, but when it's physically and mentally taxing on top of significant financial setback, then we end up not doing it as often as theoretically I'd love to.
