hi, looking for romantic books to read that are not gory, scary or mysterious. I like interpersonal, dramatic plots that are romantic, the more the better but it's my "chilling" after long day so I don't want anything tense.
please share your suggestions.

Early Jodi Picoult novels! Some are more romantic than others but it seems like almost all of her earlier ones had some relationship or romance.

Nora Roberts-- especially the older ones. Since of her series' have woo-woo things that I'm not wild about but I liked the Inner Harbor, Bridal Quartet, and Boonsboro series.

Kristan Higgins - she has a lot of good/funny books, but the one that stands out and is what you described you're looking for, is If You Only Knew.

Re Georgette Heyer ( one of the other women mentioned her) - I'd recommend Arabella, Sylvester, Devil's Cub, Cotillion.

I like the old Karen Robards and Sandra Brown books. They are romance combined with suspense thriller. Look at reviews on Amazon and Goodreads for the best ones. I think a lot of the authors get a little lazy or run out of ideas, and they start churning them out without putting in much effort.

OUTLANDER!!
I loved the series because it was a romance relationship not just random relations scenes
Also really love historical fictions so there was a lot to learn.
The books are really long, some parts move faster than others, but really good!!!

As someone said up thread, Sophie kinsella.. especially her shopaholic books. Main character Becky is so funny and relatable

Also, JoJo Moyes wrote the book (adapted for movie) me before you. Which has been talked about on this site, but her other books are also really fun and interesting.
