What city?

There is a Yeshivas Toras Simcha in Baltimore that is a relatively new boys' elementary school that currently only goes through 3rd grade.

Ask his Rebbeim if they think its a good fit for him!
If they think it is, then it probably is!

Also speak to guys who have been there. Do you know of any?

I know guys who went there, but that was 20 years ago.
they were my brother's friends.

All of them were the same type. Really nice guys, not super super academic but liked learning.
When they were in 12th grade, they were not the type who would stay in the bais hamedrash late but they were guys who had other interests too, like they would play sport, watch sports on TV (they were all from families who had TVs, just plain frum families, not super yeshivish). They were guys who went on to college after 2 or 3 years of yeshiva. BH all doing well now married with families, typically black hat but not heavy yeshivish.

I also know of a couple of guys who live in my city now who are in their early 30's approx who went there. They are such nice people, normal down to earth, well-adjusted guys, not super yeshivish but black hat. They studied for a profession after yeshiva.

I would say that none of the guys I know who went there are cool guys., they are just NICE guys.

don't know if that helps at all! Because of course, yeshivas do change, and my info about they type of guys who go there is 10-20 yrs old sorry!

Thank you so much
that describes my son to a T
we are a frum family, black hat , my husband is actually a Bostoner Chassid :-)
My son LOVES sports, needs to watch them and play them but also will learn when it is learning time. He wants to pursue a career after learning for 2 years in Yeshiva. He has spoke about becoming an Actuary. He loves MATH.
His brother is in Lander's College for men in the pre med program after 2 years of learning in Ner Israel in Baltimore.
Thank you so much for your reply
would love to hear more from anyone else

Im so pleased that was helpful! But I would advise you to always try to find more up to date information about the types of guys that go there. 10 yr old info is not always the best info Wink

especially seeing as tthe Rosh Yeshiva changed in recent years. The previous Rosh Yeshiva was RAv Asher zelig Rubinstein and he was niftar a few years ago. Google his name, google the Yeshiva and see what comes up. Good luck

I just had a few boys for a shabbos meal from there. It sounds like your son would be a good fit. They were really sweet, good, nice and polite boys. Black hat but not super-yeshivish.

My brother is currently there. It has been the most positive experience.
It is a small, very warm yeshiva.
He is not academic and the learning is perfect for him.
They encourage close relationships with the Rebeim.

When he was stuck here because of Covid, the Rebeim emailed and called him.

They have amazing tiyulim and in- Shabbosim with families.

All in all, very impressive, warm place.

My husband went there, also about 12 years ago. The way it’s described above is pretty much what it is. Very warm and accepting. He still has a kesher with so many people from there.

Which yeshivos are the boys from? What do the boys do Shabbos?

My brother came straight from 12th grade (we don't have beis midrash programs).
The boys seem to mainly be from the UK.
They are either compulsory in or out. There are also options to stay in when its an out shabbos and the Yeshiva will provide food.
I know he and some friends once rented an apt in Netanya and the yeshiva packed food for them.
