I could use recommendations for my 13 yr old dd who's in an open minded Bais Yaakov school. What clean secular and Jewish books do you suggest? Thanx

Not sure if she reads Holocaust books but when I was in 7th grade I was truly inspired by the book "Sisters in the Storm" and my own kids read "Tatteh Said Run" , at this age.

Depends on what style and level is most appropriate for her. Here are some my sister enjoyed.
Secular:
Black Beauty
My Friend Flicka
A Night Divided which is about the Berlin Wall
The Giver or 1984 (but these may have kissing?)
Faceless (good message but she has a boyfriend)
Harry Potter
Call of the Wild
The False Prince series should be clean and is an adventure novel
A Wrinkle in Time
Fallout
Chronicles of Narnia
Life of Pi
Wonder
Jewish:
Avner Gold Series
Revich Series
The Holocaust Dairies series
If you're very concerned about the content, it is best to read it first yourself.

I find most 7th grade girls are starting to like the Jewish novels written for adults as well (though I would check content, not all have topics and themes that are appropriate for young teens)

Some well liked ones, some adult, some YA:
A Tale of Two Sisters -- Adeena Lieber
Little Pink Shoes -- Sarah Schwartzman
Bracha Goykadosh
Ruthie Pearlman
Riva Pomerantz
Bullied -- Y. Kormornick
Yael Mermelstein
Susie Garber
Chani Altein
Shuli Mensch
Libby Lazewnik
There are so many, I'm just trying to remember them off the top of my head.
