I had same experience with dr mandleman when I went to him with 2 of my kids.
He came highly recommended, I paid a fortune, and all he did was question me and I walked out of is office after spending few hrs there but without any diagnosis.
Just curios whom he did help and what his expertise is suppose to be

Same. Still searching for the right shalich for my child.

Is she a psychiatrist? My child is currently not in meds, since we left Dr. Mandelman’s office without any diagnosis.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Mandelman. Note- he is not a psychiatrist. As far as I know.

He is a neuropsychologist with another specialty in education and developmental psychology. That is his expertise. Helping with learning issues. And since he is familiar with the yeshiva system he is very valuable.

I did not go to him for psychiatric issues.

ETA. this is as far as I know. Meaning as far as I know his area is learning/ behavior issues from a neuropsychological / Educational viewpoint as opposed to psychiatric.

Most ppl go with their kids not because of learning issues. He's suppose to be good with diagnosing and getting to the root of behavior and other issues but all I did in his office was spend my day there and paying nice amount.
In fact, the report I got after visit was at no help. I gave it for a professional to read who couldn't figure out what to make out of the notes that was written

I’m so sorry that was your experience. I had the exact opposite. The rebbes who were in touch with him about my son (with learning , processing and social issues )said they had never met anyone so helpful and on target and were very impressed.

Hope everyone finds the right shliach.

How is dr hizami with diagnosing women, wondering if he is good.
I have probably some combo of depression, anxiety and some personality disorders. I would love to get a good accurate diagnosis.
What is your experience?

Dr hizami is a waste of time and money.
He misdiagnosed my husband which ended up in a manic episode
