and also, which authors do the 7 y.o. girls love, that others need to read to them?

I would say all of the Menucha Fuchs books are very easy to read and small enough so finished quickly. My daughter (who is now 8) also read Savta Simcha and some of Mrs. Honig's cakes (though I think that is more her level now). She is now enjoying the 23 under 1 roof series.

Shikufitzky comics are great too!

She enjoys when I read to her but at this point she is a quick reader and prefers reading to herself Wink.

7 year olds have a large range of reading levels. Some 7 year olds are really just starting to read and others have been reading for a long while. How about you give a starting point of what she is currently enjoying reading and we can take it from there?

My 7 year old is in 1st grade and is just starting to read. They bring home a level appropriate book every week that the teacher makes them herself. She cannot read Menucha Fuchs books by herself yet.

As a young 7, DD enjoyed Smile with Avigayil series, very sweet. Shikufitzky as already recommended also. By the time she was closer to 8 she was reading pretty much everything and especially loved the Jewish Girls Around the World series.
