It’s nice if you like romanticized musicals. Not if you like historical accuracy.
Excellent musical scores though.

I really liked it. The songs are GORGEOUS. The storyline is sweet.
No harm in starting to watch it, and stopping if it feels like a waste of time. But no one here can tell you if you’ll like it, because opinions are by nature subjective.

Very overrated, overdramatized, and cheesy. I guess you could do worse but it didn't seem to deserve quite the amount of attention it got. Except that the songs are insanely catchy, to a fault. They will haunt your ears for years.
And, for those who are sensitive, the tznius level is abhorrent.

I'm sure you can rent it through Amazon or another streaming device for a few dollars.
Personally, I thought it was overrated, both the storyline and the music. But I know lots of people loved it, so....

Never any need to waste two hours on something you don't like. Give it 15 minutes and if you don't like it, switch to something else.
