Hi mom's! I'm a modern orthodox ghiyoret; at the moment I don't cover my hair, except during the service. I would like to "deepen" my modesty, but my husband don't want that I use sheitel, because I had cancer when we was engaged, and the sheitel reminds him of that time and is too hard for him.
On the other side, it's too complicated for me to wear every day a tichel because I work like surgeon, and I have to put and remove several times a day the surgical caps.
Do you have some suggestions for me? Something like a nice headband?
thank you

Leave a sheitel at work to change into when you get there? Or, why can't you wear a tichel/snood/hat? I know two frum female doctors who do.

Many people I know in fields like this wear a fall with a 2-3 inch wide headband, ad put the fall in a low pony. A cap goes on easily and the pony tucks in, and the fall stays on, either with clip-combs or a band underneath.

Yes, its a sheitel. But many rabbanim hold that you can show some hair in the front, so it looks like you have your own hair and are wearing a headband. In the modern orthodox populations near me, this is very common. You could discuss this with dh and see if it is different enough- maybe he would want to not see you put it on?

I can also see how this might be difficult for you yourself. May Hashem give you koach and long life.

Many of the wigs are super natural looking nowadays. For example Look at Eva ad Chloe on instagram.

Thank for your tips!
I have three wonderful wigs, and today I'm "trying" my favourite. I will discuss it with my husband, I don't want make him suffer. He's not observant, but he leaves me the freedom to choose.
If he will not agree with the wig, I'll try something like a shekel with a band and a pony...
But it's very important for me to be modest for HaShem.
