I'd like to spend one night in Washington DC for midwinter vacation with my family of 7 kids. Are there suite hotels with suites that would work for us? Any recommendations?

Georgetown Suites is extremely affordable. It is a converted apt building so every suite is huge, for the same price as a typical room in a typical hotel. For more options see Kesher Israel’s website.

We stayed at the Westin with points, we had a beautiful suite. It was called the Westin Washington National Harbor, a short drive from Washington attractions.

Thanks to all who replied! I am looking into those options. What size suite did you stay in for what size family?

There's also an Embassy Suites in Georgetown, very close to the shul, with multiple suite options.

If you want to be in DC proper, Georgetown is a nice residential area that's near the shul and the kosher restaurant (which will likely be open for Chol Hamoed, but double-check this), but it won't be cheap. If you want something more economical, stay in Silver Spring, where there are shuls and kosher food, and drive or take the train into DC for activities.

We is stayed at the hyatt on Monday night with 7 kids. We got adjoining rooms. Each room had 2 double beds and a queen pullout couch. We booked through Costco. Board $148 per room. Need to find parking or pay for valet. We found parking on the block.

Thanks, Tech_mom! Can you tell me which Hyatt it was? Were the rooms connected? Were they rooms or suites? Did you feel there was enough space for everyone? And how do you book through Costco?

I'm going next week. Any tips for kosher food?
Also, can you bring a double on the circulator bus?

CharBar is a lovely restaurant in Georgetown, with great food, reasonable prices, and usually nearby parking - enjoy!

If possible, it would be great if you can include approximate cost with your recommendation (rather than things like "reasonably priced" which could mean anything)
