My baby colored up my leather-look kitchen chairs with a pen! I tried all the cleaning stuff I have, nothing worked. Any suggestions??

A couple of things that have worked for me: rubbing alcohol, with a lot of elbow grease. And oxy stain stick, rubbed in and left to sit, then scrubbed off. Warning: it's unpredictable how these will affect the rest of the chair. You might want to test in a hidden spot for staining/ fading first.

I used whitening toothpaste with baking soda. I let it sit a little then scrubbed. Hair spray took the pen off along with the leathery surface.

I have this same problem (2 or 3 times already). I use alcohol which lightens it, but the rest mostly fades with time. So was hairspray good or not? One poster it worked and another it damaged the whole layer?
