A few weeks ago they had in Hamodia, "that's an idea" section a tip about replacing margarine with oil. It said using 1/2 cup and oil with 1 egg.
But anyone remember for how much margarine was that?

In general, 1 cup margarine (2 sticks) can be replaced with 2/3 cup oil.

Yes that sounds right. I bake a ton, and almost never use margarine. I replace with canola oil. I never heard of the extra egg though. It probably cant harm as eggs hold the stuff together, but in cookies you may get a stickier dough.
