What cut of meat do you use in the UK for fajitas or grilled steak salad? Something not too expensive that works well with quick high heat.
Thanks in advance!

Oyster steak or London broil (I know London broil is not an actual cut but that's what it's called here).

I think some uk butchers sell London Broil but not the ones I shop in. Maybe someone who lives in the UK can answer. I shop there when I am visiting but honestly despite googling I find the different meat cuts baffling. UK beef is also (I think) grass fed which results in entirely tougher meat anyway.

You can get I. Some meat stores a very thin steak that’s akteady spiced. I think it is called sandwich steak or something? Call up the butcher and explain what you need they are usually very helpful.

I don’t know what it is called in U.K. but generally you use London broil or similar cut.
The trick is to slice is against the grain so slices are tender and also not to cook well done because that also toughens it up.
Do they have flank steak in the U.K.
You generally also marinade the cut to tenderize it a bit before cooking.
