There are ways couple.differwnt areas. I know someone who just bought on Rock ridge and there are some ppl near there. Also dunnigan. Liliian.
Check the eruv map.to ensure wherever u r looking is included.

We purchased a home in Thiells in September we are two blocks south of Crescent Drive. We see religious families occasionally walking in various directions but have not been able to catch up with anyone to figure out where they’re going. There does not seem to be an eruv In the community with the nearest map showing about 2 miles away at Call Hollow Hollow. There is a small in active synagogue in haverstraw son of Jacob Anna phone number is listed for Rabbi but I’ve never received a return call. There is a cemetery in haverstraw that has a Jewish section. In the 40s and 50s the synagogue was active As an orthodox synagogue.
