Any ideas how to know size of each pair of black tights? Does a silver sharpie work on black?
(Why don't they just put a small label with the size? Rolling Eyes

Mark waistband with contrasting fabric paint, available in crafts stores. Either mark with a letter, or use diff colors for diff sizes and mark with a dot or short line. Easy shmeazy.

thread a few stitches on the back [this way they also go on the same with back & front never confusing] in different colours for the different person they belong to ... I.e. green is always for greenfire

If you order individual labels for each of your kids for day camp/overnight camp, it simplies laundry at home too for tights and socks. Each child gets their individual name on labels and also ordered in a different color ink. And you can just stick it on, no need for sewing or ironing.

Sticker laundry label 1 in red:
Sara Smith
123-456-7890

Sticker laundry label 2 in blue:
Rivka Smith
123-456-7890

My mother A"H used to do this (actually I remember doing this for her. We'd get new tights and sew in our color for all the new pairs, before wearing them.)

With some tights, I find that they have a colored thread on the inside seam, and different sizes are a different color. Mine are all green, my DD's are red, etc....

puff paint-one line for oldest, two for next, and so on. If a pair gets handed down, add a line.
