Trying to put together ideas for a Shabbos themed shalach manos. Any ideas for a food or chatchka I can buy cheaply that will work to represent main course?

Would you eat a real roll if you got one in shalach manos or should I try to find a stand-in?

Only if it's from a close friend. My sister in law did this, she made three homemade dips stacked in small containers, with a challah roll and maybe a bottle of grape juice?

My neighbor gave a delicious challah and 4 fresh dips when Purim was on a Thursday. We really enjoyed it Shabbos- we trust their kitchen. I wouldn’t trust some other kitchens though.

I wouldn't eat it unless I knew you well.

If I knew you made it and trusted your kashrus, sure!

If I would eat in your house then I would eat your homemade MM. If not A, then not B.

I voted "yes", but really the answer is "yes, if I knew that it came from a kosher kitchen".

Also if it stayed fresh. Bread goes stale quickly.

My neighbor always sends a medium size homemade Challah in a pretty gift bag/tissue paper along with 2 full size homemade dips, and my family waits for it and enjoys it during the brunch rush of Purim Smile
