I, too, live 8th Day. They got some original songs.
I'm also hooked on Blue Fringe. And some Israeli artists.

Well Abie Rotenberg and Shlomo Simcha have a great Ani Maamin hoe down on the first Aish cd but you're right it's not quite country in Jewish music unless you actually think Country Yossi is country. (that guy reeks of Brooklyn)
I'm not really a country person so I can't help with other leads. Now I wonder if there's such a thing as Jewish Jazz?

If you like mellow, Jewish music check out Nochie Krohn. My friend brought it from the U.S. for us and ever since we first heard it my kids LOVE it. I do too.

I know I'm late but I want to bring this up again because I have been looking for music lately....
I am also an Andy Statman fan poemmom
and also a Moshav band fan...I've been looking for more along the same lines of Moshav...I find that many of the Jewish music sounds too much like camp music and some even sounds like Christian rock which is annoying...

For all the Saphardy music lovers- Edem Mi Qedem.
I have a very hard time with Jewish music, I really don't like any of it, but when I heard these guys I loved them so much that I flew the lead singer in for my wedding!
I had the poorest wedding Brooklyn has ever seen and to this day everyone still talks about the music and the dancing.
As a matter of fact if anyone is familiar with there music I would really appreciate it if you could recommend other Jewish music like theirs.
