It makes the front of sheitel near forehead look more natural/like scalp.

It's a piece of tulle lace coming out of the hairline that goes over the forehead and is supposed to look invisible and like the hairline is growing out of your scalp.

The lacey part underneath the hairs makes it look like a natural hairline.

I own a lace front sheitel and really like it. The hairline is very natural.

Editing to add that the lace is quite delicate so this sheitel is more fragile and needs more TLC then my others.

In general lace front are more expensive.

And they are thought to provide a very natural look - of course, there can be lesser quality lace fronts but in general there is a correlation between lace fronts providing the most natural look.

Do you glue it down every day?

And baby hairs are sewed into the tulle lace which gives it a more natural appearance.

The lace gets cut around your specific hairline and then hair is added until the end of the lace. I assume that would work for you.

Thanks for the explanations.

Are shaitels made with a lace front? I’m looking for a new shaitel. Can I buy with a lace front?
If not, who will do it for me in Lakewood?

Yes, I got mine for my widows peak, I love it!

Some are made with a lace front but otherwise most shaitel machers can send out to have the lace front added to any brand of your choice.

Pretty much every shaitel macher I know in Lakewood would do it. Is there a specific brand shaitel you would want? I know of several great shaitel machers in lakewood and can possibly help match you to one who sells a brand you’d prefer

Wow I was just looking this up on google earlier today! (with no successful results so thank you for bringing this up). I have a widows peak and thought that meant I'd always have to have a sheitel with bangs. So you're saying that isn't so?

Are lace front sheitels annoying to put on? Do they take more time to put on than a "regular" sheitel? (making sure the lace part isn't obvious or whatever. I'm not sure exactly how they work- do you have to worry about something shifting or coming out of place and the lace sticking up or out or whatever?
