I'm working in the same job for many years and am for the most part happy and comfortable here. However, I need more money desperately. I met with recruiting agency, who told me I need to be absolutely ready to leave the minute they find me something. How is this realistic? Of course my job will try to convince me to stay and maybe even give me a similar offer.
She also told me no place will want to spend 6-8 months training me in on the salary I'm requesting. So I would need to start with same or lower salary and then eventually get more.
I feel so turned off and hopeless like I'll never make more money or manage. I also feel so burnt out of always working so hard and never having money for anything. Help!
