I live OOT but looking for others who’ve BTDT. Any phone or online groups? I’m at the very beginning of the journey and want to connect with other Jewish mothers in a similar position.

I live OOT as well and would love to have this. My son has HFA though...not sure if the place on the spectrum would matter

I'd love to access such a group. In my case, my son has hfa, and we haven't shared his diagnosis with anyone. Not my parents, in-laws, we just don't use the word. We kept him back a year in school, he's in SK now, and so far no one's mentioned a word about any issues, so we've said nothing.

But it gets really lonely.....

Contact your local Chabad, and find out where the nearest Friendship Circle is.

They take children at all levels and types of special needs. It's a wonderful program.

There are enough people here for a virtual group.

seriously-We can support each other. There are others on the private group on here... but it is pretty quiet. sometimes just having someone to vent to you-so you know you are not alone-is so good. And it helps the ventor as well...

I looked up their website. No Friendship Circle within 100 miles of my location. :-(

Definitely post on the kids with autism section of the board. Support is available here.

You can also benefit from some of the non Jewish groups online.

I get my support on Facebook. There are many wonderful groups there with parents with the same struggles.
