I bought a beautiful costume for my DS but it is extremely wrinkled. The instructions say not to iron it. I tried filling the bathroom with steam and left it hanging for an hour but those stubborn wrinkles didn't budge. Is there a "safe" way for me to iron it?

Sometimes sprinkling a soft undershirt with some water so it's lightly damp and placing it the dryer with the costume for 10 minutes is enough.

I keep a spray bottle with water and a few tablespoons fabric softener mixed I. near my dryer for wrinkled clothes. If you spray the inside out costume with the mixture, then dryer low with damp not wet towel it might work.

I should've mentioned it says not to dry either. Only hand wash and hang dry.
It's all polyester but has all different trims and a part that feels plastic or painted or something and I'm afraid to ruin it.

Try ironing on top of a burping diaper or towel.

I know... last year my son had a costume and the label said “do not wash, do not dry”!
I did wash it on cold, delicate cycle and hung to dry. It was totally fine.

This year my kids costumes came very wrinkled but I now have a steam iron which I think would be perfect for the costumes.

If you don’t have a steam iron then wet the material and hang to dry.
