Hi.
I never heard of ichud mosdos hachinuch before.
I had a meeting with my daughters principals and they feel she should switch there for next year, 2nd grade. She has no behavioral issues. She is a regular normal girl with lots of friends. Just academically she isn't doing well. Having a hard time with reading, writing, spelling, math....
What types of girls in ichud classes? Will the other regular classes in her grade make fun/ veiw her as slow....?
I'm so nervous- is it gonna knock down her self esteem????
How does this work?
Anyone have any experience?
And as a side note how does tutition work- gvmnt funded? Same tution rate as the school?
Thanks

Is there an option for a self contained class in the school?

Yes ichud is a self contained class. But not in her current school. She would need to switch schools.

So sorry!! Didn't see your reply right away. Do you still want me to email you about Ichud?
By the way, I heard that Bnos Esther Malka school (in Prospect Park building) is Montessori type and good with helping kids

I have daughter in Ichud ( 7th grade) - dyslexia, no behavior issues , B'H she is doing well. Ichud tests kids prior to accepting them to make sure they are a good candidate for the program, you can also consider doing a private eval and see what evaluator will advise. Good luck!

Since you said you have a daughter in their program. I'm wondering what the tutuion rate is. Is it true that it's very expensive 3-,000-5,000 a month??? No way I can afford it. Should I bother even applying
Approximately how much do you pay?
Thanks

It's very expensive but your child needs to qualify and you get government funding.
They'll explain to you exactly how it works.

They allowed us to pay same tuition we were paying to our regular school ( about 800$/mo) at the same time we went through a DOE process to get our daughter approved for 12:1:1 class, get placement, etc.
