Hi,
Wondering if anyone has had such a situation in the past and if there was a pattern to it.
My 18 month old has been feeling warm for past week or so. she doesn't have fever but while normally her temp runs lowish (around 97 rectally) it has been upwards of 99.9.
In the past whenever she had this, like a week or so later she came down with a major infection, often requiring iv antibiotics.
So this time I said I'll be a step ahead. we did a full workup last week and she tested positive for a virus thats basically the common cold...
Its been over a week so she should really be over it now. though she is still feeling warm & basically presenting the same way. I guess theoretically it could just be the virus taking a longer time to get out of her system (doc says this virus takes a week) but because of what happened in the past I'm a bit anxious...
Anyone with some insight or advice?
Tia!

How do you find her immune system n general? WHat's her behavior like on a regular basis? What's it like when she's feeling like this?
Does she or anyone else in the family have allergies, asthma, eczema, chronic or frequent sinusitis, flushing, swelling, or other allergy type symptoms?
My kids can kind of be like your daughter so I get your concern.
Would you consider using vitamins or herbs as preventive treatment? We've found that helpful.
