Grilled cheese? Frozen pizza? Scrambled eggs? A favorite in my house is falafel and fries from the freezer.
If I'm sick at home I might put up a big pot of meat sauce cuz it's so easy and just needs to cook a while or a thick soup.

Something you can pop into oven quick, like frozen pizza or fish sticks, frozen fries etc.

Or any sandwich, turkey, or peanut butter, or cream cheese etc. Wtvr you have.

Or cereal and milk. Yogurt with banana etc.

Thanks everyone! I feel like a 2 out of 10. My dh is never home by supper until way after kids are sleeping.

Refuah Shelaimah. If you are financially able to , I'd recommend that your DH pick up pizza or have the store deliver it.

How old are your kids? Peanut Butter sandwiches. Cereal and milk. As much as they need to fill up. They'll survive just fine one day with such a supper.

Same as my dh. If you feel like a 2 out of 10 supper is sandwiches made of bread and whatever spread(s) you have handy that they'll eat, or big bowls of cereal and milk. If you feel up to it, wash, peel and cut up some cucumbers, carrots, apples, oranges. Do you have any yogurts or string cheese in the fridge?
This is not the time to worry about balancing proteins, healthy fats and macronutrients. Anything works as long as they don't go to bed hungry.
Refuah Shleima!

Great.
Now bribing kids to go to bed nicely when mommy is sick is perfectly acceptable. If anyone asks, you can tell them I said so! Wink

Then go and you rest up.

Yogurt
Frozen pizza
fish sticks
cereal
sandwiches only if they can prep it themselves Wink

I'm a big fan of protein and veggies for supper (they definitely eat more than enough starch the rest of the day) but when my resources are low we go with survival.

Sandwiches or cereal. Crackers. Order pizza if you can afford.
