Do you just rinse off the outside of your veggies or do you actually clean with a soap or a wash? If so, which wash?
I grew up just rinsing the outside of things such as Pepper, squash (when making zoodles), etc.
is there anything wrong with not washing? Are there chemicals or dirt on them?

There's always a chance of bacteria on the surface of produce, which is why washing is recommended. I just use dish soap.

I just rinse things like pepper or squash but do use an actual wash on things that are more likely to be buggy (like leafy greens, etc).

I use Environne fruit and veg wash that I picked up at a Jewish supermarket, but I hear soaking in plain vinegar is also effective. But you have to soak it for a good few minutes, not just a splash.
