https://themighty.com/2019/04/.....04-03 The one year guarantee is really important if your kids are super active. Keep that receipt!

Target Launches New Sensory-Friendly Home Line for Kids

Target’s home brand for kids, Pillowfort, is expanding to include almost 20 new sensory-friendly pieces. The home products are aimed to help meet the unique needs of kids who may experience sensory sensitivities without sacrificing style or affordability.

This new collection was developed by Target’s design team following feedback about how hard it is to find sensory-friendly items, and how unaffordable many of them are. The design team spent time listening to guests’ stories and recommendations, then designed the items to help meet kids’ and parents’ unique needs.

The nearly 20-piece assortment includes weighted blankets, rocking desk and activity chairs, a hideaway tent, floor cushions, a crash pad and more.

As people have come to expect from Target, these pieces are affordable ranging from $19.99 to under $99.99. Pillowfort products come with a one year guarantee, so if you buy one of the products, be sure to keep your receipt.

This is not the first time Target has made sensory-friendly products a priority. In 2017 Target’s line of kids’ clothing, Cat & Jack, debuted sensory-friendly options. The line then expanded to include adaptive clothing, and then, in 2018, sensory-friendly uniforms.

“We want all guests to feel welcome and included at Target,” Julie Guggemos, senior vice president, owned brand management and product design said. “With our Cat & Jack and Universal Thread adaptive and sensory-friendly apparel, we’ve seen that little details can have a huge impact. I’m so proud to bring that spirit of inclusivity and incredible design to Pillowfort’s new sensory-friendly assortment, which hopefully can bring more ease and joy to our guests’ everyday lives.”
