Whats a good book for a 17 year old? I don't want something with marriage issues. I saw in the store many books are like that. TIA

My 18 year old (HS senior) loves Living Emunah for Teens by Rabbi David Ashear. She reads a chapter every night before bed and sometimes comes to read it to me too! The book was passed from a friend who also loved it and wanted to share.

Thanx, but I'm looking to buy a novel or real life account.

Does she like historical fiction? History? fantasy? What is her genre? Secular or Jewish based?

Jewish books, not history. More up to date type of drama. Thanx

There are a number of true teen stories in Judaica stores. You can check Israel Bookshop online.

My teen girls like novels by Reva Pomerantz and Sara Weiderblank. They like short story collections like the Lifelines series (C. Saphir) and the Mountain Climbers series (Malky Feig). They also like the Touched by a Story series (Rabbi Spero); he has a new one out, called The Spark Within.
They loved Emunah with Love and Chicken Soup, too; biography of Henny Machlis.

The new book by Rachel Berger sounds like it would be up her alley. No marriage issues, but a whole lot of juicy drama. Its called All Fall Down.
