I need a cake for kiddush, not chocolate. I haven't had mazel with apple cakes so I'd only be interested in tried and true recipes.

I do but the chocolate dissenter doesn't. Thanks though. Maybe post it anyway. There's a dearth of gebroks recipes out there.
