We're looking into purchasing a house and the kitchen sink is white, I'm assuming it's ceramic. Obviously we'll consult with our LOR but has anyone had experience with kashering a sink like this? I'm wondering if it will have to be replaced.

It needs to be lined. My mom has stainless inserts for pesach.

White typically is porcelain or enamel. Can’t be kashered.

Apologies if I wasn't clear, my question isn't Pesach related. The house is currently owned by non-Jews so we'd have to kasher/replace for everyday use.

Huh? So how do you clean your dishes? There is only one sink in the kitchen, so we'll probably use our Pesach inserts and cover the draining board when we move in and eventually replace it.
