I will not cut lines.
I will not not hold my hands that way.
I will not knock on wood.
I will not complain about being invited.

Thank you.
Job well done.

People are just venting. Justifiably.

My PSA. There is a hamper for wet, dirty, disgusting towels on the way out of the locker room at the gym. Its easy to drop them in on your way out, instead of leaving them on the benches or throwing them on the floor for others to have to deal with. And I'm not even going to mention the tissues. Yech.

See, I don't think its going to change anything. But sometimes venting makes you feel better.

PSA: Please don’t write articles or posts that begin with Please don’t xyz or You’re doing xyz wrong. There was a few articles titled thusly in my FB feed this morning, and between those and the PSAs here, my brain was exploding. We got it, we all do everything wrong, we will try and be virtuous like the author of some random article on some mom site has instructed us.

The articles were entitled “Please don’t call my cesarean a cesarean birth’ (uhhh, and some other people expect you to, and that gets confusing) and ‘America, you’re putting your children to bed wrong’ (pretty sure if they end up asleep, I’m good). Any fool can write an article now telling how and why to behave. And they obviously expect you to comply, or they wouldn’t have written an article. MYOB. Sheesh.

To summarize - always consider others, not only yourself.

Sometimes.
At all the other times consider others more than yourself.
Be super conscious of your environment lest you create PSA stuff.

I’m seeing an eye doctor today for a pulled muscle from excessive eye-rolling. I’m a “fan” (in the sick train-wreck spectator sense) of a website that regularly titles articles “ten ways you’re doing ______wrong” “six things you should be doing about _____but aren’t “ “ You’re going about ____all wrong—here's why.” Readers have repeatedly taken the writers to task, lobbying for less confrontational titles (why not a helpful “ ten things to avoid when doing _____” instead of the accusatory “ten things you’ re doing wrong”?) to no avail.

What’s ironic is that the articles on this oh-so-superior website are badly written; are littered with egregious errors of grammar, spelling and usage; and often offer advice or “information” that is just plain wrong and sometimes downright dangerous. Readers post comments pointing out the mistakes but the site never posts retractions.

Let the reader beware.

It’s a commercial website, but now that you mention it, much of the criticism applies to imamother as well.On imamother, at least some posters have a valid excuse such as ESL, learning disability or poor secular education. That other site has no excuse whatsoever —it’s a commercial site staffed by supposedly professional writers, most of whom are American or British.
