I think it's supposed to be rainy where we are for yontif and my kids 5 and under are already bored of our toys etc because even though we did go out every day of chol hamoed they still played with their toys in the mornings and evenings... it's hard with no schedule for so long and these age kids can't really entertain themselves for too long.
Any ideas??

Here's stuff to do indoors. Not sure if it's your house, so not all may be appropriate. You can alternate these ideas with free play and keep kids occupied for at least 2 hours.

Trampoline: put a mattress on the floor, let kids jump on it.

Parachute: Put a clean bedsheet on the floor. Two people each grab an end, pull them up and down to create a “parachute.” Third person runs under the chute. Take turns making the wind and running through.

“Being Crabby” Sit on the floor, put arms and feet down so they touch the floor, belly up, walk like a “crab.” Try to balance a stuffed animal on your belly, make a crab race.

Obstacle Course: Make one first, then let the kids make an obstacle course too. Add in “walk like a lion, a car, an airplane, a cat, etc.”

Act out the pesach story with your stuffed animals and toys.

Make a tent with sheets and the couch. Play in it.

Good luck!

You can always call over a friend with children. This way you get to shmooze and the kids play with each others

We did the mattress as a trampoline today. It was so much fun for the kids. Thanks for the idea!
