Is it halachically ok to wear a wig that is made of your own hair? If it is, has anyone done that? And how long would my hair have to be to do it?

My Rav once mentioned this in his shiur as an aside, and he said its fine.
ETA but its possible others hold differently, so maybe ask your own Rav

I haven't looked into this extensively, but I believe that more than one head of hair is needed to make a wig, no matter the length.
