My children (5-12) have expressed interest in learning Spanish. I’d honestly love to learn it as well. Is there a good app, book or program we can purchase to do this? How would you suggest going about doing this?
Thank you!

Honestly I would guess an app and recordings, etc. are the way to go.
But this should be fun:

And when I googled "The Easy Shmeezy Guide to Spanish" that page also showed a few videos from the author.

The free version is really limited and I’m wondering if it’s worth buying?

I do not recommend duolingo at all. I learned spanish properly in highschool and when my kids tried duolingo it was just....bad. memorizing words without a real understanding of what youre doing, and annoying and not at all fun.

I would recommend learning from a very easy learn spanish book-one that explains the rules of verbs etc. Make sure the instructions are very easy to understand and people friendly.

Its a terrific language to learn, very easy and logical.

My high school used the Destinos program in conjunction with other materials. I thought it worked well.
