I'm sure I could find one by googling but I prefer personal recommendations.
We are cleaning out my grandparents' apartment and naturally there are many photos and documents of interest. I (and I'm sure others) theoretically would LOVE to sit and sift through them, but realistically it will be too long until anyone has time. I would love to send the lot to someone who can create high-quality scans and save them in an organized manner. I'm not sure how it would work but my grandmother also wrote descriptions on the backs of many photos and it would be wonderful to have those somehow attached to the same file as the relevant photo. Obviously we would want the originals returned, in an organized manner.
If anyone knows the general going rate for this kind of service, please share that as well. I'm assuming a few hundred dollars but could use a frame of reference.
