What age are the kids and what type of theme are you looking for? What activities do you plan to do?

Perhaps a 'white' theme for White Mountains?
Famous for 'old man on the mountain' -- perhaps a senior theme?
Trains/railroad related. That's a biggie there.

New Hampshire is known as the "Granite State" and also known for their stones and sand.

Fun is just a "stone" throw away.

NH's known as The Granite State.
But some questions for you:
1. Are you the teacher?
2. Are you going for any historical reason or just because it's nearby and pretty?
3. How old are the kids?
4. What have they learned about NH already?
5. Are they familiar with the 13 colonies, Revolutionary War, etc.?

Your theme can be anything from geology - rocks, granite, etc. to early US to gadlus haBorei.

I also was going to suggest a riff on "granite State", maybe a play on words -- granite/granted. "Your Stated wish for an amazing trip will be Granite; Cannon you guess where we're going?"
