I had a lace front put in and was told it should only be cut by someone very experienced in cutting lace fronts.

Im a sheitel macher. It needs to be cut in a semi circle shape. Starting on the outside corner (below temple/ above ear) and slowly go closer in as u reach the center of the forehead and then back out again till the next corner. That way itll lay best on the head. You can write on it 1st and make sure your happy. That being said, anyone can do it ! Feel free to PM me

But does every sheitelmacher know this? I was warned that if they don't know what they are doing it will mess up the lace front. Was that just hype?

Id be surprised if a sheitel macher didnt know. Lace fronts are everywhere now. We are all working with them a ton..

Thats a hard question- doesnt take a lot of skill or time. The whole thing should be less than 2 minuets. That being said I only cut lace fronts that I put in for my customers and I make money on the wig so I dont charge an extra fee for the minor job. I think more than $25 is expensive...
